LSAT India syllabus consists of three major heads which comprise of Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. The LSAT syllabus basically comprises of questions based on critical thinking and legal skills.
Analytical Reasoning
In this section, candidates are given questions based on structure of relationships where they are required to draw the logical conclusions about that relationship. The relationships can be based on things, persons or events. Candidates have to choose the right statement from the given four or five statements commenting on the structure of the relationship. The test requires a law student to attempt legal solving problems in the section.
Logical Reasoning
Candidates are required to critically evaluate, analyse and complete arguments which are given in general language. The section tests the logic of a student. They have to read and comprehend the given passage and answer the questions based on it. The section assesses wide range different attributes of the test taker including thinking critically and skills that are required for legal reasoning.
Reading Comprehension
As the name suggests, the section tests the reading skills of a student. It assesses the understanding ability of the aspirant. The section consists of four sets of questions based on reading. Each section offers candidates of selecting and attempting the question put before them as per their preference. The reading material is followed by questions that check the reading as well as reasoning ability of the candidate.

IPU CET LAW
The topics covered in the syllabus of IPU CET Law 2018 are mentioned below:
English Language and Comprehension: The section evaluates a candidate’s English language skills. English Language and Comprehension section comprises different topics including Prepositions, Sentence Construction, Narration, Articles, Comprehension and Vocabulary.
General Knowledge: This section of IPU CET Law 2018 tests the general awareness of candidates and includes questions related to the following topics – National Culture & History, Science & Technology, International Affairs, Geography & Natural Resources and Current National Events.
Reasoning: Reasoning Section includes the basic reasoning skills where questions will be of Numerical and Logical Reasoning.
Legal Aptitude: This section will check the ability to grasp basic legal knowledge of terms. The questions will comprise topics including General Legal Awareness and Understanding & Application of Legal Principles.

Scope and coverage of questions under different subject areas:
1. English including comprehension-
The English section will test the candidates' proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates will be questioned on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used therein etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc.
2. General Knowledge and Currents Affairs-
As far as general knowledge is concerned; the candidates will be tested on their general awareness including static general knowledge. Questions on current affairs will test candidates on their knowledge of current affairs.
3. Mathematics-
This section will test candidate's knowledge on elementary mathematics, i.e. maths taught up to Class X.
4. Legal Aptitude-
This section will test candidate's interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving ability. Questions will be framed with the help of legal propositions (described in the paper), and a set of facts to which the said proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be "true" in the real sense (e.g. the legal proposition may be that any person who speaks in a movie hall and disturbs others that are watching the movie will be banned from entering any movie theatre across India for one year). Candidates will have to assume the "truth" of these propositions and answer the questions accordingly.
5. Logical Reasoning-
The purpose of the logical reasoning section is to test the candidate's ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It will include a wide variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.

Legal Aptitude: This section will have questions that will challenge candidate’s interest towards the study of Law, Legal Aptitude, and ability to solve problems. Based on a set of facts and legal prepositions, questions will be framed. Candidates are required to answer the questions considering the provided prepositions with strong conclusions
General Knowledge with Current Affairs: To prepare for this section, aspirants must have knowledge on History (ancient, medieval and modern), Geography, Civics Economics, etc. Also, candidates must follow the newspapers regularly to stay updated with the latest events
Logical and Analytical Reasoning: The questions in this section will test candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links and correct illogical arguments. Questions will include wide analogies, completing arguments, to draw well-supported conclusions, applying rules and reasoning by analogy
English: In this section, questions will be based on topics like synonyms, antonyms, analogies, idioms and phrases, one-word substitution, sentence improvement and rearrangement, fill in the blanks, common errors, spotting errors, inappropriate usage of words, spelling mistakes etc. Also, questions there will be questions based on a comprehension passage
Mathematical Aptitude: Questions here will be challenging the numerical ability of candidates. To prepare for this section, aspirants can go through Class 10 level Mathematical questions like Speed and Distance, Venn Diagram, Profit and Loss, Time and Work, Algebra, Average etc.
